Freaky friday

Freaky friday...
I was on the bus, on my way home from the dinner with my friends. I sat at the last bench so i was able to see what was happening on the bus.
There was this uncle, or should i say Ah Pek sitting in front of me, a lady was sitting beside him. Initially i thought they were related, maybe they are father and daughter because the uncle kept on looking at her and asking her questions. Anyway, the Ah Pek is a bit eccentric because out of nowhere, he suddenly grabbed a guy (sitting diagonally across from him) and dragged him to his (Ah Pek) own seat while the Ah Pek sat at the guy's seat. Then the Ah Pek turned around, looked at the guy (by now he is very confused with the situation), then at the girl and gave the guy, a wink.
Then right after the 'commotion', the lights on the bus suddenly flickered and the engine went dead for 5 secs...*Background: X-Files sound effect*

Busy week

1 more day to enjoy my holiday before school reopens!
This whole week flew by like a breeze. Shall talk about my week...
Went out with my poly friends on Tuesday to have lunch and dinner...that whole day i have been eating, eating and more eating. For lunch, we went to Suki Yaki to have student buffet. We ate till we have to crawl out cos you know, we are like typical kiasu Singaporeans, wanted to eat till our money worths. One of the interesting moment was Poh eating a lump of wasabi because he had lost a bet to me, HA! Felt bad cos when Poh was struggling to swallow the wasabi, all of us were busy filming down his reaction and laughed at him when he choked at one point (ok, i am not such a great friend after all)! After having our lunch, we went to watch April Snow. I must announce this, I am NEVER going to watch Korean show again! The movie is so SLOW, one crying scene will take up about 5 minutes of the show and their sexual scenes are real LONG!!! I still prefer the American style cos it is more hot and sexy. Anyway, i don't recommend the movie to anyone! After the movie, we went to marina bay's Zhen Fa Huo Hai Xian to have steamboat. There is a variety of food to choose from and their prawns are real fresh cos you catch and kill them by yourself! I couldn't bare watching the crab being killed so i excused myself from the job. We celebrated Josh's birthday half-way through our feast and purposely sang a loud birthday song to him, to make him more pai she!
On thursday, went out with my secondary school friends! Realised i cannot go shopping with them. They ALWAYS tempt me to buy stuff even though i told them i am trying to save money! I saw one Brazil (my fav. football team) T-shirt at SEIYU that is very nice but $29.90 so i have decided to bring my mother along, HEE. Took a lot of photos, but they are all with Hui so i shall blog about that on another day when i get the photos!
On friday, met up with my primary school friends to have dinner! (It's been a week of meeting up with friends for me!) Both of them have gained a little weight, all except for me, ARGH!
Do you realised that when you stop looking or hoping for something, that something will appear or happened without you realising it? BUT if you keep hoping or looking for that something, that something will purposely not appear or happen! REVERSE PSYCOLOGY! So for now, i shall NOT hope to gain weight...
Although i am intimidated by one of my managers most of the time, i still find it sad that she have left us, as in transferred to another GV branch. Oh man, don't know what our next manager will look like, hopefully she/he will be nice!

3 gals and 3 guys

Went out with my frens on Wednesday. Feel so comfortable with all of them like 6 old (not literally) frens meeting up! We ate our dinner at Lau Pak Sa, seriously i feel that Riverside provides better food and at a cheaper price.
Very happy and touched that my fren celebrated my belated birthday and i really like their blue borders card voucher! Thank you so much!
Well i have to go to Fortune Centre soon to do a survey! Hope that it is not a scam because i heard from my sister that the place is very sleazy but for my $30, i shall take the risk! Wish me luck!

Art Class

Replaced my sister for her art tuition class yesterday, it was a total chaos! My sister warned me beforehand not to be too friendly with the kids because they WILL climb on top of your head and shit. She was right about it!

It was a mistake to say that i am taking over my sister's class because the moment i said that, the lady boss was like 'Oh you are Meihui's meimei right?'. The moment the kids heard the word 'meimei', their eyes sparkled with mischief.

Throughout the whole lesson, they refused to stop talking, the only boy kept running around and drawing on the whiteboard. I was so relief and happy when the lesson finally ended!

Below are the 3 art students that i had. The little boy was really hyper while the 2 girls were really chatty.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com I taught them how to make paper bags! Learnt them when i was young, during the age when collecting stickers was the 'in' thing!

Sisters

Been spending the last 2 days with my sisters!
I spent my birthday with my secondary school friends. I must say i enjoyed myself totally...i feel that i am back to my usual cheery and crazy self again! Ee Fun is still the same, always deep in thought but whenever she speaks, you can laugh your head off. Ting is still the logical and indecisive one...she can spend 1hr deciding which color of the bag to choose from, aiyo! Hui, remains the same from the day i know her till now, there is no changes to her looks and dressing and she is still the most innocent and pessimistic among all of us! Feels weird without Ying though cos she used to join us everytime we meet up but now that she is a Christian, she has less time for us! It's a pity...
Yesterday, i went out with another 'sister', Jen. She seems troubled but i still managed to make her laugh occasionally with my nonsensical jokes. Heard from her that GV recruited another batch of new staff, this means that all the senior staffs are no longer in high demand. The 'freshies' are new and young, they find everything interesting and will do everything you order them to do but after a few more months, when they are bore with the jobs...you will see the managers come crawling to us, begging us to go back to work! India trip

After 2 failed attempts in blogging about my India trip, the excitement of sharing my experience has gone. I shall shorten my whole entry....

I think all of you should know by now but i still want to announce, "I'M BACK! BETTER THAN EVER!". I missed everything about Singapore when i was in India, the food, people, weather, water, air etc. The first thing i did when the Sahara plane touched down in Singapore and i alighted in Changi Airport was to breathe in the fresh air of Singapore. The air in India is really "PUARH, GROSS!", everywhere we go, the stench of shit (from cow, horse, camel, dogs) will filled our nose. Not only is the air polluted by shit, factories and vehicles also don't take any preventive measures to stop pollution, take a look at the picture below and you will know!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Do you notice the Indian man standing at the bottom right hand corner of the picture? He is a hawker (as what the tour guide call them) who sells his goods in the middle of the road. Whenever the traffic lights turns red, he will approach each vehicle and try to sell his goods to all the passengers, very dangerous indeed but i guess is because they do not have the money to rent a proper shop so they have to resort to such method of selling. It is very common to see hawkers on the road, there are also beggars who beg for money in the middle of the road. I think everyone felt the happiest on the bus because whenever we got off the bus, a bunch of hawkers and beggars will surround us like we are some kind of superstar, you might think it is fun but i tell you it is scary. Hawkers will thrust their products in front of your face and say the prices like "5 for 100rupees". Beggars will speak in some hindi language which i totally don't understand, show a makan action and stretched out their hands. If you show any sign of sympathy, then that is the end, because they would follow you wherever you go and some even grab your arms. Guess what? I was one of the victims. One small Indian boy came up to me to beg for money, i pretended not to look at him and apparently he did not give up, he grabbed my right upper arm and plead me, you know what, his fingers brush past my breast twice...$%#@&@#& *breathe in, out* shall have inner-poise...well that was my scary experience with the beggars.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This is a picture i have taken while on the bus. Can you take a look at what is written on the signboard? Yes, it is Ali Village! Ali Ali bom bo li, meh le fair le fo far li..ok i should stop that! Yup Ali, you really have been following us the past few days..it's haunting me, everywhere..Actually to tell the truth, i did some photoshop to the signboard because there is another A in front of the Ali but it has sort of faded off so i just got rid of it!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Now to the camel ride. It is fun, i couldn't stop laughing when i got up the camel, don't know why, probably too nervous. It is a scary experience though especially when the camel is getting up and sitting down. Throughout the whole ride, my bum hurts because i am very light so every step that the camel took, i will bounce. Bouncing up and down throughout the ride makes my butt hurts!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com That is Zarifah at the front, smiling so happily after finally geting up the camel and i am at the back. My smile is a smile in disguise for my fear actually.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com That is Poh and another Indian man who i don't know. He is on the elephant back. I did not take the elephant ride because i wanted to save money so i can't tell you the experience...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This is the Indian Gate. It is a memoir of those Indian soldiers who died in the war. The names of the soldiers are curved on the walls of the Indian Gate.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This is the second most beautiful palace i have seen in India. We did not get to see the interior of the palace because it is build in the middle of the sea but from that distance, it is still very beautiful.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
The building i am holding is one of the 7 wonders of the world, Taj Mahal! It is really magnificent (only the exterior), i tell you...it is pure white, making it look really elegant. The interior is a little disappointing because there wasn't much to see, there are 2 tombs, one for the prince, the other for the princess and that is all that they have in the palace -_-"

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This picture is taken on the last day of our stay in India, at a hotel call The Park, 5-star hotel. It really lives up to the 5-star grade because the rooms are comfortable and the ambience is great.

There are more pictures but they are all with Zarifah so you wil have to wait for more...

I would like to say special thanks to waishin for sponsoring me her camera and also grace for showing concerned when you heard about the earthquake which affected New Dehli.

mr/ms crab

This entire blog is dedicated to Mr/Ms Tiny Crab. No matter are you dead or alive, please forgive me and my friends, Ali and Cheryl, i apologised on their behalf.
I am sorry Mr/Ms Crab for the physical abuse and emotional trauma that you went through yesterday. What we have done is against the SPCA oh wait..SPCA is for animals...erm then against NO CCA (No Cruelty to Crabs Association), if there really is one! I am guilt-ridden about the whole incident.
Here is what happen yesterday *Flash back*
My friends and i were strolling around Boat Quay yesterday, after our dinner (photos will be posted later), just looking around and enjoying the scenery. Then all of a sudden, a loud 'CRACK' was heard underneath my feet. Not giving the crack much thought, i continued walking along with the others until Grace exclaimed from the back that there is a tiny crab and someone had stepped on it! I was like 'Oh shit, ain't i the one who did that!'. Actually i enjoy cracking a crappy joke but not a crab...ok anyway, I, being a hypocrite, did not dare own up. The others by this time have already crowd around the poor, tiny crab. The crab, fearing all of us, used every little effort that it had to get away from us, which scared the hell out of us because the action was very swift. Then Cheryl decided to 'shoo' the crab into the Singapore River by giving it a hard kick..A KICK i tell you, i think if the crab haven't die, it should be in a coma. Just when you or the crab thought that that was the end of the torture from the group of us, Ali, the brave one decided to catch one of it's legs and run, in the fastest possible time to the river and fling it into the river. Do you sometimes get into a situation where you really wanted to help with something but in the end, caused more trouble than help..well Ali wanted to help but in the end caused the crab to lose it's leg. *sob* Now the crab is not going to die with a full body...poor thing *sigh*. In the end, 'mum' salvaged the situation by letting the crab rest on her mmr paper before it was thrown into the river, by this time i think the crab is already concussed by our repeated abuse.
I am really sorry for what happened so i have decided not to eat any of your family members, friends, relatives for 1 week -_-"
