India trip

After 2 failed attempts in blogging about my India trip, the excitement of sharing my experience has gone. I shall shorten my whole entry....

I think all of you should know by now but i still want to announce, "I'M BACK! BETTER THAN EVER!". I missed everything about Singapore when i was in India, the food, people, weather, water, air etc. The first thing i did when the Sahara plane touched down in Singapore and i alighted in Changi Airport was to breathe in the fresh air of Singapore. The air in India is really "PUARH, GROSS!", everywhere we go, the stench of shit (from cow, horse, camel, dogs) will filled our nose. Not only is the air polluted by shit, factories and vehicles also don't take any preventive measures to stop pollution, take a look at the picture below and you will know!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Do you notice the Indian man standing at the bottom right hand corner of the picture? He is a hawker (as what the tour guide call them) who sells his goods in the middle of the road. Whenever the traffic lights turns red, he will approach each vehicle and try to sell his goods to all the passengers, very dangerous indeed but i guess is because they do not have the money to rent a proper shop so they have to resort to such method of selling. It is very common to see hawkers on the road, there are also beggars who beg for money in the middle of the road. I think everyone felt the happiest on the bus because whenever we got off the bus, a bunch of hawkers and beggars will surround us like we are some kind of superstar, you might think it is fun but i tell you it is scary. Hawkers will thrust their products in front of your face and say the prices like "5 for 100rupees". Beggars will speak in some hindi language which i totally don't understand, show a makan action and stretched out their hands. If you show any sign of sympathy, then that is the end, because they would follow you wherever you go and some even grab your arms. Guess what? I was one of the victims. One small Indian boy came up to me to beg for money, i pretended not to look at him and apparently he did not give up, he grabbed my right upper arm and plead me, you know what, his fingers brush past my breast twice...$%#@&@#& *breathe in, out* shall have inner-poise...well that was my scary experience with the beggars.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This is a picture i have taken while on the bus. Can you take a look at what is written on the signboard? Yes, it is Ali Village! Ali Ali bom bo li, meh le fair le fo far li..ok i should stop that! Yup Ali, you really have been following us the past few days..it's haunting me, everywhere..Actually to tell the truth, i did some photoshop to the signboard because there is another A in front of the Ali but it has sort of faded off so i just got rid of it!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Now to the camel ride. It is fun, i couldn't stop laughing when i got up the camel, don't know why, probably too nervous. It is a scary experience though especially when the camel is getting up and sitting down. Throughout the whole ride, my bum hurts because i am very light so every step that the camel took, i will bounce. Bouncing up and down throughout the ride makes my butt hurts!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com That is Zarifah at the front, smiling so happily after finally geting up the camel and i am at the back. My smile is a smile in disguise for my fear actually.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com That is Poh and another Indian man who i don't know. He is on the elephant back. I did not take the elephant ride because i wanted to save money so i can't tell you the experience...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This is the Indian Gate. It is a memoir of those Indian soldiers who died in the war. The names of the soldiers are curved on the walls of the Indian Gate.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This is the second most beautiful palace i have seen in India. We did not get to see the interior of the palace because it is build in the middle of the sea but from that distance, it is still very beautiful.

The building i am holding is one of the 7 wonders of the world, Taj Mahal! It is really magnificent (only the exterior), i tell you...it is pure white, making it look really elegant. The interior is a little disappointing because there wasn't much to see, there are 2 tombs, one for the prince, the other for the princess and that is all that they have in the palace -_-"

Image hosted by Photobucket.com This picture is taken on the last day of our stay in India, at a hotel call The Park, 5-star hotel. It really lives up to the 5-star grade because the rooms are comfortable and the ambience is great.

There are more pictures but they are all with Zarifah so you wil have to wait for more...

I would like to say special thanks to waishin for sponsoring me her camera and also grace for showing concerned when you heard about the earthquake which affected New Dehli.
