Tampines Library
I am real proud of myself because i managed to keep 4 kids quiet for a while at least, by making them draw. The 4 kids were supposed to wait inside the room for their parents to come and pick them up. They were really making such a din, running around and screaming on top of their lungs, it sounded like a room full of kids but in actual fact there were only 4! Kids can be real cute but when they start to make noise, they become a pest!

The much anticipated chatlet!
Firstly, the chatlet room is really small to accommodate 7 people in the room. Secondly, the cupboards and air-con look very old and dirty, not only look but are in actual fact very old and dirty. Thirdly, the floor is really really dusty, it's like it had been not been cleaned by anyone for months. Forth, there is no sink provided to wash your uncooked fish or chicken and do you know what my friends did? They have no other choice but to wash the stingrays and chicken in our room toilet, causing it to stink like there is a corpse being stored inside! I almost fainted in the morning when i entered the toilet.
Although the chatlet was sucky, i still had a great time. It is all thanks to my classsmate because they were a fun bunch to be with and they are the ones who make the chatlet possible. I felt kind of useless because i did not help much. The marination of the food were done by Sheng Yang, Grace, Wanlin and Zarifah while we were out at Siloso Beach, suntaning ourselves. The weather was good for suntaning. Quite a few of my girlfriends wore bikini to suntan and went for a dip in the water. I am considered to be one of those who are conservative because i wore a spaghetti top and a shorts. Other than me, i think only Zarifah is the most conservative because of her malay culture. Even Wai Shin wore a bikini top! =O
We bought a ball to play because our dearest Victor did not have his volleyball with him. We spent about 1hr playing the hopeless ball. Hopeless because the ball is very light so we spent most of the time, running after the ball rather than hitting the ball. In the end, we decided on playing soccer instead, although the ball is pretty big as a soccer ball!
Then around 6pm, we started our barbecue. As usual, we brought a lot of food because we overbudgeted the amount and also because the lecturers we invited brought some food with them! Surprising to know that Mr Rajan and Ryan both know how to cook and Mr Rajan cooked one of his dish, salmon for us. Only through the barbecue did i know Mr Rajan hosted cook show. The next time, he shall be known as Chef Rajan! Mr Jimmy, on the other hand was busy with eating and socializing.
The barbecue was fun because everyone was having the party mood even the lecturers! Towards the end of the barbecue, everyone sort of went crazy because they started to drag everyone they see into the pool. Joanne, the birthday girl couldn't escape being thrown into the pool. Poh Wah also went in for a dip and his entry was the most "grand" because the moment he jumped into the pool, someone commented that it was a cannonball dropped, while Rajan said that it was Tsunami, which caused everyone to start laughing. Grace was also dragged into the pool! I faced the risk of being dragged but thank goodness i was having my period. Even Rajan's kids were not spared. Rajan's son was shouting "What were you thinking Dad?" when he was thrown into the pool by his father! It was so much fun!
During the night, everyone who stayed overnight was feeling sleepy but nobody wanted to sleep because it felt so strange to sleep during chatlet, so we stayed up till real late the next morning by playing cards and monopoly! We set our own rule for the monopoly game which is to say a truth if we end up in jail. Guess who was the first to end up in jail? ME! (How lucky can i get?) The question that i was asked, was by Ellse (you can trust her to come up with corny and weird ideas!) and it was "If you were to date a guy from this table, who would you date?". The choice was so limited, only 3 guys to choose from and that is Poh Poh, Sheng Yang and Josh. 3 guys who i get along real well with and have totally no interest in. So i decided to eliminate using name elimination. Personally i perfer guys with chinese name so Josh was the first to go. Between Poh and sy, well i had to make a choice so i decided on sy. Now come to think of it, sy have a christian name and that is brian, haiya so i shouldn't have choosen him. Then sy also ended in jail and his question was "Which girl on this table would you be physically attracted to?". The answer was obvious because Wan Lin had the best body and looks in our class and she was there. I felt that Ellse and Grace's body were also very good, at least i personally like their body (I am not a lesbian ok?). Then Wan Lin also ended in jail! I realised now that there is a pattern! Anyway Wan Lin's question was "Who was she talking to on the phone just now?" because before she joined us in the game, she was talking to someone on the phone for like 1hr or so. To my surprise, it was a guy from 03! WS guessed it right all along! Then it was Josh's turn to get into jail but his question was not very interesting as it was "Why did he kept laughing when we asked Wan Lin the question?". Obviously he must have known something or else why did he laugh but how did he know, well nobody knows! After monopoly, we played poker cards where everyone started to talk crap because everyone's mind was not working properly so super lame jokes popped up but it was fun and i feel the warmth getting together, the bunch of us saying lame jokes and laughing together.
We finally slept at about 4.30am because everyone couldn't take it any more! The bed could only take in about 5 people and with 5 people, it was like squeeze until cannot squeeze any more. I got leg cramps the next morning, my legs can't seem to straighten! I pity the guys though because they have to sleep on the floor which was dusty.
The next morning, we ate instant noddles and also breakfast meal in Mc Donald's. My friends are so crazy about monopoly, we played it in Mc Donald's. I think they are addicted to the game because Ellse suggest that we go sentosa another day and also play monopoly!-_-"

Geisha
I have just finished reading the book "Memoirs of a Geisha". I recommend the book to everyone who have not read it because it is really an excellant book. I was captivated by the book and can't seem to get it off my hands. I know many people now are having the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince fever and are probably sitting in their home now, immerse in the story. For me though, i am not excited about it any more because i already know who have been killed since almost the whole world is talking about it, either in their conversation or through their blog.
Anyway let's get back to the Memoirs of a Geisha. The book actually exposed us to one of Japanese culture which i think is still being practiced in Japan now. It talks about the life of a Geisha. Geisha by the way is actually a female entertainer.
Have you seen a Geisha before? They always wear a kimono, put on thick powder and tie an elaborated hair. Actually i have not seen one in real life but i have seen them on television and pictures. A picture of a Geisha is posted below.
Geishas always put on thick powder on their faces which make them look like ghost but still, man likes them that way!
Heard from my sister that a film have been produced based on the book and would be out by the end of the year or something. My sister is totally excited about it since she was the one who recommended me the book and have been singing praises about it! Well i share her excitement.
Fine after a day's rest
Really i am very happy because I CAN FINALLY OPEN MY EYES!!! YES, i can see the sun, i can see the sun with love (Eww, i hate this song but when you are happy, you sing whatever song that comes to your mind!) Anyway the condition on my right eye is better now, it is still sore but at least now i can open it without much difficulty. I am really thankful that my eye have recover after 1 day. Now i feel that the wait for 7hrs in the hospital was worthwhile afterall.
I would like to thank everyone who showed a lot of concern for me like Wai Shin, Jen, Sheng Yang, Yuanli and everyone in GV Bishan especially Chuan Lai and Wense (my manager). Special thanks to my family members and the eye specialist in TTSH.
Looking forward to my class chatlet! =)

I am blind
OK let me tell you what exactly happened yesterday. I was using a tong to pack the chessy hotdogs in plastic bag. Unfortunately, i did not have a tight grip on the tong and the tong sprung forward and hit my right eye. I wasn't wearing my spectacles and my eyes was not shut during that time so it hit my right black eyeball. Initially, i felt a stingy pain in my eye and i could not open my eyes. After about 2 minutes when i was able to open my eyes, i quickly rushed to the toliet to check it out. It seems like nothing was affected at first, just that my right eye was really red but on closer inspection, i was shocked to realised that there was a hole in my black eye ball, or rather a dent in an area on my black eyeball. I thought it was the the light that was causing it but when i shifted my position a little, the dent was still there. I quickly rushed back to my colleague, Wai Leng and because i wanted to confirm that there was something and not my own illusion, i asked Wai Leng to take a look. Initially, she said "Mei you lei (nothing what)". Then when i told her to look closely at my black eyeball, she suddenly gasped "Wo kan dao le( i see it already)!" That was when i began to panic. Then she added "Mun da de(quite big)!", which make me panic even more! I started to ask her question that i know she can't answer like "Do you think the skin of black eyeball would grow back since when there is a scrape on our skin, the skin will still grow...", actually during that time i was just trying to reassure myself that everything is alright and that it was only a minor case. Wai Leng then suggested that i asked another colleague, Chuan Lai whose brother is a eye specialist. Chuan Lai also took quite a while before he finally saw the scratch, then my manager also came to inspect or rather see what is the commotion about. The manager did not lose any time, he quickly instructed Chuan Lai to take me to the clinic to get a check on my right eye although there was a session going on. We went to the a 24hr clinic in Bishan. The doctor also took quite a while to notice the scratch, actually she used a dye to help her to see it! Then she referred me to Tan Tock Seng Hospital which i think is totally stupid cos she say that it is only a minor case!
I went to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital with my manager and waited for 2 long hrs to be attended by the doctor. Finally when i thought that that was the end of the wait, i was wrong! The doctor say that he can only attend to us 2 hrs later cos he had to do an operation on another patient which might take about 1 hr. I was angry with him but i also kind of pity him because he told us that he haven't had his lunch and the time then was already 5.45pm. Of course about 2.5hrs later i went back and again had to wait because the doctor was nowhere to be found. Seriously we need more doctors!!! The long wait really can cause people to die. Imagine having to wait for 7hrs just to see my right eye! Mine is already considered to be small case, can you imagine those who have broken limps and arms, still have to go through the pain for so long before they are attended to!
I was actually quite happy during the time at the hospital, that i could not open my right eyes. It is because i was able to rest my eyes and not look at what is happening around me. As most people know, i would faint at the sight of blood so i think it was best for me to keep my eyes shut the whole time. Although i kept my eyes shut most of the time, i could not block my ears. I heard that one bangladeshi worker actually had a nail stuck in his heels, AHHHHH, erase that from my mind quick!!!! I saw a man or rather a boy who dislocated his arm and hurt his leg (he was limping) while riding his bike (his mother was helping him to carry his helmet). Unfortunately he was sitting beside me so i can't help but notice him whenever he walk to and fro. I also noticed that his white singlet was torn and it is not longer white but grey, i guess he must have had a very bad fall from his bike. I tell you i will never dream of riding motorbike ever!!!
Right now though, i just hope that my eyes will recover before my class chatlet.

One week break
This few days i have been watching DVDs in school because there was nothing for us to do during the break. We watched two very interesting movie. One of them is White Chicks and the other is CSI!One DVD that you musn't miss would be White Chicks. The movie is so hilarious, i laugh till my cheeks went numb. My friends and i laugh thoroughout the movie. Can you believe that the movie is so popular that it actually attracted a crowd, which gather behind us to watch with us? Seriously the movie is excellent. Nothing was able to dampen our mood from watching White Chicks, even when we were tip off by the librarian as the library rules were that the maximum number of people entitled to watch from a TV is only 2 but we had 4, going for the tongue-twister competition and not having any TV to watch our DVD. BUT nothing could stop us..we eventually found a TV to finish our last 30 minutes of White Chicks, ahhh satisfactory! CSI is also another great show as it is very exciting and the ending is very unpredictable. It is such a pity for me because i was not able to watch the ending of the episode we were watching in school today! How i wish i have a DVD player!
As i have mentioned earlier, i took part in a tongue twister competition! It was a fun experience. There was 2 tongue twister that i have to read, one is something which contain words like skunk and stunk..the other is about a two-toe toad. Pretty funny to talk about toad in front of 2 lecturers! I was also given a idiom which goes something like "a man in a cloth", until now i still can't find the meaning of the idiom.

Charlie and Chocolate Factory
Firstly i would like to announce, next week is our one week SCHOOL HOLIDAYS YOOHOO!!! So anyone wanna date me? I am available! Hmm...kind of desperate this few days because i am jealous that people are so busy, some dating while others going out with friends! Why nobody is asking me out? Humph! I don't know why but i feel kind of lonely and sad this few days...i have family love, friends love but it is just not enough for me....
Secondly, i have already watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! I must say it was kind of boring, this is the first time i am actually not immerse in a movie! The story is very predictable (probably because i have read the book before) and the jokes in the movie was also very lame, ridiculously funny. Do you know how they get whip cream? They whip the cow with a whip and the explanation for that is whip cream will not be whip cream if it is not whip with a whip! How lame can they get? I am sure the movie will appeal to kids but for me, well it just does not work!
Thirdly, i just learn how to search for other's blog...Haha! Not really impressive huh? Oh ya, our class will be having a class chalet next week at Sentosa! Looking forward to it!!!
