Movies

Movies, movies and more movies are coming out!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting One cheap flick that I know is definitely not worth the money but still I wanna watch cos in John Tucker Must Die, Heartthrob Jesse Metcalfe (the gardener in Desperate Housewife) is the main actor! How can I resist?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting I am going to watch World Trade Center on Sunday! Nicolas Cage will be starring in it so I expect it will be a great movie.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting I am so going to watch this movie too cos my favourite actor Josh Hartnett is in it! Read the synopsis just now:

A tale of obsession, love, corruption, greed and depravity that revolves around a true story of the brutal murder of a fledgling Hollywood starlet that shocked and fascinated the nation in 1947 and remains unsolved today. Two ex-pugilist cops, Lee Blanchard and Bucky Bleichert, are called to investigate the homicide of ambitious silver-screen B-lister Betty Ann Short--A.K.A. "The Black Dahlia"--an attack so grisly that images of the killing were kept from the public. While Blanchard's growing preoccupation with the sensational murder threatens his marriage to Kay, his partner, Bleichert, finds himself attracted to the enigmatic Madeleine Linscott, the daughter of one of the city's most prominent families--who just happens to have an unsavory connection to the murder victim.

Scandalous and mysterious, I LIKE!

Redang Trip

I'm BACK from Redang! Did anyone miss me? Actually I was back on thursday but was too lazy to blog...hee

A lot of fabulous photos to share! Ok let's see...how should I start...Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

After 9 hours of coach ride from Singapore to Malaysia, we arrived at the jetty where I took my first boat ride! Although I have back, neck and leg ache from the long coach ride, anticipation of the boat ride manage to keep my spirit high. However, not long after the boat engine starts, exhaustion won over my body and the beautiful sea and island turned to blackness. I was too tire to enjoy the nice scenery and surprisingly, boats are really comfortable to sleep in when they are NOT stationary on the sea.

After 1 hour of the boat ride, we arrive at Laguna Jetty (I think that's the name) and we took a tram to Laguna Resort. When we arrive at the lobby, this is the BEAUTIFUL scene that invites us!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Look at how clear the sea is! It is so inviting that I have an impulse to jump into the sea and swim like a mermaid (like as if I can swim like a mermaid!)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting This reminds me of a song

'I can see clearly now, what's lies underneath,

I can see all obstacles in my way.'

Me and Agu walking deeper and deeper into the ever inviting sea!

The family in the photo are one of the people we got to know in Redang. It seems like it is really easy to make friends in an island cos it is so small, everyday you get to see the same people, eventually you become friends. I think if we have stayed longer in Redang, we might get to know everyone in the island!

To be continued...

Good citizens

If there is anyone who says Singaporeans are not honest or Singapore is not a good and safe country to be in, they would have to take back their words.

Yesterday, I helped all my colleagues to buy dinner cos I was working late-mid shift. Since most of them wanted dinner and I couldn't grab another colleague to buy food together with me, I was forced to carry bags and bags of food...ALONE! At one point cos I had too many bags in my hand, I did not hold on tightly to the money in the coin bag and so pieces of red and green started to slip out from the coin bag (even the menu) without me noticing. Thankfully, there were honest and kind-hearted Singaporeans around who came running one after another to return the money to me. The amount that had been returned to me by all those kind souls add up to $9!!! Seriously, I must avoid buying food for all my colleagues so that something so embarrassing will not happen to me again!

Anyway, there is only 2 more days left before I set off to Redang Island! Can't wait! I will be gone from 4 Sept to 7 Sept, so don miss me!

DMC 3A04 Chalet

Just restored my energy from the lack of sleep during my class chalet. Feel so good to have a decent pillow and right room temperature to sleep in.

Had a great time at Costa Sands Resort in Pasir Ris. The room is bigger than the one in Sentosa and the toilet smells better! Life was good at the chalet as our daily route was just play, eat, play, sleep and...well more play! The only thing that I remember about the chalet would be mahjong cos we played it from 9pm to 3.30am and on the next morning, we played mahjong again!

The first night was not very happening, it was all about playing board games and mahjong. The second night, almost the whole class was there at the chalet. It was just like old times where our class unofficial chef will be at the bbq pit while the rest of us would get ready our 'utensils' and attack the food when it is done. The highlights for the night were celebrating XY's birthday and having our lectures over for the bbq. The lecturers were forced to do crazy stuff like doing all the cute poses...and it was really fun to see them let loose for once.

I should really thank my dearest fren, Waishin for making this chalet possible. I think she is at home crying right now, not cos she is touched but because her money is depleting...poor girl.

All of us gals with one, pathetic guy

Looking at all the photos, it reminds me of the fun times that I have with my class. Love all my classmates! Don't know why but I miss Grace a lot. She is always the one with a lot of wacky ideas and sarcastic jokes that never fail to make me laugh. Well, semester is starting very soon and once again all of us can gather together and have a great time like we used to!

Sentosa

Went to Sentosa yesterday with my ex-colleagues (some of them were total strangers to me actually). It started off quite awkwardly cos I was late and there were people whom I am not very familiar with. Thank goodness I have Fang with me!

Anyway, the first thing that we did when we set foot at Sentosa was to head to Palawan Beach to SUNTAN! The sun was really strong so we spend about 4 hours at Palawan. Most of them went for a swim while crystal, fang and me kept a look out for their belongings. Nothing fun that we did so I shall not bore you with it.

After the suntaning, we went to watch Sentosa 4D. Actually it was the others who went in to watch, I wasn't very interested in it. I felt that it is not worth it to watch a 15 mins movie for $16. After the 4D movie, we went for SentosaLuge which is Sentosa's version of Go Kart and it is really fun. Initially I was worried I could not control the 'car' but I picked it up instantly cos it is really easy. At one point, I felt I was being mean cos one of my colleagues, a guy, was having some problems with the control and I drove past him with a triumphant smile, like 'Ha, I am faster than you!' without even helping him or whatsoever, tarnishing his ego. Oh well, in the end, he still manage to overtake me so I guess I did not do much harm to him!

All in all, I had a great time and I will definitely play SentosaLuge again if I go to Sentosa!

Weird people and My future

Met a few weirdos while working yesterday. First up, is one of our regular customers. He enjoys watching movies everyday and he can watched the same movie for a few times (not that GV is complaining). The irritating thing is, he purchases ticket to a show but most of the time, he will be sleeping inside the theatres (worst part is he snores) or he will change to another theatre halfway through a show.

Second, would be a late thirties, plump guy who was watching a movie in theatre 4. It was in the early afternoon so there wasn't many patrons watching the show in theatre 4m only have about 3 patrons. I don't know why but he kept asking me to come in to theatre 4 more often cos there is very little people in the theatre. I was like 'Hello! You are a man and you are afraid when there are not many people in the room?'

Third would be this little girl who suddenly appeared beside me and asked me about a schedule paper that we have at the usher point. I answered her question and then there was a awkward pause so I asked her if she is going to the toliet. She asked me 'What's that?' and ran away. Not long later, she came back and ran down the stairs that lead to the theatres. Everyone of us at the usher point were like stunned for a while, then I quickly ran after her and gently guided her up the stairs while asking her 'where is your parents?' and she answered 'what's that?'. I suspect she either is a bit retarded or she is suffering from some mental problems.

Oh my..3 weirdos in a day...how nice!
